FOOT & ANKLE PAIN
Foot & Ankle Pain
We all have experienced foot or ankle pain at some point in our lives. The bones in our feet and ankles are small but mighty! They can withstand a lot of force when we walk, run, and jump. So, it is important that these joints function optimally to allow you to run, jog, jump, etc without too much trouble.
Chiropractic manipulation is shown to be effective at alleviating foot and ankle pain, restoring proper joint range of motion, and improving stability via a combination of specific rehab exercises. Some common causes of foot pain include:
Peripheral nerve impingement
Ankle sprains (Inversion or eversion ankle sprain, high ankle sprain)
Morton’s neuroma
Hammer toes, Mallet toes, claw toes
Bunions
Plantar Fasciitis
Stress fractures
Collapsed arch and improper orthotic fitting/evaluation
If you are experiencing any of the above causes of foot & ankle pain, Dr. Yap would love to help you find the root cause and get you back out into the world again!
