Another common condition Dr. Yap sees and treats in our Victoria Chiropractic Clinic is pain in the hip joint. Hip pain can be caused by a number of factors and underlying conditions such as arthritis, degeneration, or referred pain from the lumbar spine. That is why it is important and necessary to appropriately diagnose and design a treatment plan accordingly.

Some direct causes of hip pain can include arthritis of the hip joint, hip bursitis, hip impingement from overuse or hip pointers from a traumatic episode.

Pain in the hip can also be coming from indirect sources such as lumbar instability, hip instability, muscular imbalances, lumbar disc herniation with referred pain to the hip, and peripheral nerve impingement.
